WHY AN UPROAR OVER ELIAN IN A ‘YOUNG COMMUNIST PIONEER UNIFORM’?

We should not fail to grasp a parallel between the policies of hate as promoted by Fidel Castro’s Young Communist Pioneers and the policies of hate as promoted by the Adolph Hitler’s Nazi Youth? The politics of hate and oppression are simply that: the loss of individual freedom and liberty into the hands of the few with military might. Mr. Castro, and all those of like character, will always use hate and brute force to gain and then maintain power over others. The only differences here are in the magnitude of death inflicted by Mr. Castro thus far. The total cost in lives in Cuba alone of Fidel Castro’s dictatorship may never be entirely clear, but estimates are solidly in the 85 to 98 thousand figure. Given Cuba’s relative total population the death toll has been enormous. (The magnitude of death inflicted by Mr. Stalin, who originated the ‘Young Communist Pioneers’ and patterned them after the ‘Hitler Youth’, is estimated at 20 million.) They are not the Boy Scouts and Cuban parents have no free choices for their children. As for Cuba, the politics of institutionalized hate could not be more crystal. Cuban fathers and Cuban mothers can never be parents. Cuban children will continue to be severely abused physically and psychologically by the only power, parental or otherwise, in Cuba, the 40+ year totalitarian state of Fidel Castro and its dictatorial brand of politics: Hate & Fear.
